The Main Menu |
The Main Menu drives the navigation to all of the modules and functions of Encompassing Visions.
•The first name of the Employee logged in (or the User Name if the User is not linked to an Employee) is displayed in top right corner of the page. •Modules are presented based on the security access the user is assigned. A system administrator will typically see all 5 modules, in the navigation bar, whereas a non-lead employee would probably just see the Employees module. •The tool bar at the top of the screen allows the user to open the Help, change their password, or Logout of the application. •To return to the main menu, click on the icon. •If enabled by your Administrator, a message will scroll across the bottom of the screen.
Administrator Notes: •The message that scrolls across the bottom of the screen is set in the Administration>System Settings>User Interface "What Menu Scrolling Message do you want to display".
Application Modules There are 5 main modules that a user could have access to:
Jobs - Functions pertaining to the maintenance of jobs and printing job-related reports. Strategic Alignment - The Competency Alignment Survey and Organizational Objectives functions. Employees - Functions that are typically executed by employees within the system. e.g. maintenance of work plans or Reviewers, completion of reviews, printing and archiving learning and growth reports as well as the Employee records. Analysis - The Organizational Learning and Growth and Succession Planning functions. Administration - The functions for system set-up and customization.
Moving your mouse over one of the module icons will display the sub-menu of functions available for that module. Moving your mouse over any of the sub-menu functions will display a tool tip describing that function. Again, menu items will be shown or hidden based on the individual's security access, so the images here might not reflect your application.
Moving your mouse over the Jobs icon will open a sub-menu of functions available for the Jobs module.
Moving your mouse over the Strategic Alignment icon will open a sub-menu of functions available for the Strategic Alignment module.
Moving your mouse over the Employees icon will open a sub-menu of functions available for the Employees module.
Moving your mouse over the Analysis icon will open a sub-menu of functions available for the Analysis module.
Moving your mouse over the Administration icon will open a sub-menu of functions available for the Administration module. OR
Administrator Notes: The functions that the user will see on their Main Menu page will depend on the security assigned to their user ID (either by profile assigned or individual access rights to the functions) and the system Policies. If the user does not have access to a module, function or sub-function, it will be hidden from view. •If the 'Enable Business Plans' and 'Enable Professional Development Plans' in Policies are set to 'No' then the Employees cube will not include these items.
