Note: Pay Band Group is only available if the Policy is set to 'Yes' that will enable you to assign different pay bands to jobs.
Note: The Retrieve on Demand (ROD) is no longer available. This has been replaced with Pagination functionality which enables the following: ▪Number of Jobs retrieved on pages depends on screen resolution. ▪Instant screen population of Job information independent of data size (from 100 jobs -100,000 jobs). ▪Page numbers located at bottom of screen
Use the Quick Search box to find a specific Job. This module within Encompassing Visions contains information pertaining to 'Jobs'.
The JPS Job Questionnaire© is used to consistently and effectively gather information about what people are expected to do in their assigned work. Particular questions in The JPS Job Questionnaire© relate to particular behavioural competencies. A completed Questionnaire (or a summarization of multiple Questionnaires) allows Encompassing Visions to generate a Job Description and a Job Evaluation result that reflects the Questionnaire responses entered for each job. In addition, a Job Posting and Selection Interview Guide is created that highlights the competencies most critical to the incumbent's or candidate's success. These documents provide a clear, consistent and documented message about expectations and accountabilities.
Note: the Job Questionnaire has been reworked for Version 9.4.1. The updated functionality has been designed to follow the same look and feel that you've seen in the learning and growth modules in the previous few versions. Encompassing Visions' intent is to provide a more user friendly and intuitive interface so that you, the client, are able to evaluate Jobs, complete the Job specific details and edit those elements with ease.
This module is identified by the Jobs icon in the Main Menu. Moving your mouse anywhere over this icon will open the Jobs sub-menu. The sub-menu will have one or two items depending on your security access level:
•Jobs function allows for the display and maintenance of all components of a specific job. •Jobs - User Assigned Jobs function allows for the display and maintenance of all components of a specific job but this functionality is limited to only those jobs the user has been given access to by the System Administrator (in the Administration Module>System Settings>Users> Link Jobs to Users.) •Job Settings - allow options for many different variables such as how you name specific terms, features that you can turn on or off, and the number of items displayed in certain lists. The Job Settings allow you to maintain the Policies for the jobs module.
Moving your mouse over any of the sub-menu functions will display a tool tip describing the function.
The System Administrator can customize many of the terms used in the job definitions to more closely mirror your Organization's terminology. The following is a list of the terms that may have been customized in your version, so may not match the default values shown in these Help pages:
•Selection (in Selection Interview Guide)
Note: While the default term is 'Selection', we recommend that clients change this term to ''Behavioural Descriptive' so this guide would be called the Behavioural Descriptive Interview Guide. All clients will see "Behavioural Descriptive" as a possible alternate term for 'Selection' but the term is not automatically updated. |
