Employee Skills Admin

A new function has been added to the Employee detail screen to give access to a Department Admin or HR Admin to see Employees and maintain skills.

A flag (check) in the Employee Skills Admin box, on the Employee detail screen, enables the Employee access to add/edit or renew skills for Employees in their Organizational unit, but not their own. Accessibility is based on security access level

The Access Level for the Department Admin will be a three for Employee Skills Access and a three for Employees. For a Human Resources Administrator, the access level will be four.

As an Employee Skills Admin, they will only see Employee Skills and Employee Skills Expiration in the View box of the Employees Module.

See detailed instructions in the Help Topic: Employee Skills to add/edit or renew skills for an employee.

Employee Access Screen

Based on the Organization Structure or if you are using the Employee/Supervisor policy, the Department Admin will see only those Employees who report to the Organization Unit, including Sub-Units.

Employee Skills

The Employee Skill Admin can not update skills to their personal profile.

Clicking the ‘+’ icon brings forward the library of skills to identify which ones you might want to add.

The ‘Save’ icon is disabled with the following tooltip, "For data integrity reasons, only your supervisor can add skills and certifications to your personal profile. From the Skills Library, please note the code number and name of any/all skills, certifications, licenses, memberships, etc. you believe should be attached to your personal profile, and provide that information to them.

Employee Skills Expiration

The Employees Skills Expiration report lists the Employee ID, Employee Name, Job Title, Skill Reference, Skill Title, whether the Skill is Active, its Type, Effective Date, Expiration Date and whether it has been Renewed of those that are in the same organization unit (including sub-units).
