This function is used to integrate data with an HRIS and import data from applications outside Encompassing Visions to the Encompassing Visions database. These Policies apply to the Manual Import and automated Data Integration functions. Note: The Data Integration Function is installed separate from the Encompassing Visions Application and requires installation from your IT Support Team. Enable Employee Data Integration?
Notes: •This Policy determines the number of skills strengths and development opportunities to display on the Employee Learning and Growth Report. Process User and/or Profile updates in Employee Data Integration Program?
This policy identifies whether you plan to User and/or Profile updates through the Employee Data Integration Program. •When set to Yes: 1.User IDs can be created 2.User IDs can be linked to employees 3.User IDs can be assigned a new profile •When set to No there is no processing of User or Profile permitted and any transactions with those fields completed in the staging table will result in an error.
What is the default Profile ID for user creation in Data Integration? This policy allows you to identify a default profile to use when creating users (as per above policy) if none is specified in the staging table. This is the Profile ID and not the Profile Name. •This profile must already exist in your User/Profile table. •If no profile is specified in this policy and no profile is specified in the staging table then users are created without any access to the application and manual setup of the access requires has to be done by the Encompassing Visions System Administrator.
Enable E-Mail Notifications from the Data Integration Program?
Notes: This policy identifies whether the Data Integration Program will send out notifications about the status of the Data Integration runs. •The System Policy "What is the DBMail profile name to use for Data Integration Program notification emails?" is used to determine whether to use SQLMail or DBMail for sending notifications. •The policy below identifies the profile is DBMail is used. •This policy applies only to notifications from the Data Integration Program and not notifications from the application (see Administration>System Settings>Email) for application notification policies). Important: Do not enable this option unless you are sure that the ability to send E-Mail notifications has been set up on your server (either DBMail or SQL Mail). Contact your technical support department for further information. What is the DBMail Profile Name to use for Data Integration Program notification E-Mails? This policy identifies the name of the DBMail Profile to use when sending notifications from the Data Integration Program using DBMail. •It must be set up by your database administrator/technical support team and then entered into this policy exactly as set-up by your technical support team. •This policy is used for DBMail only. It should be left blank when using SQL Mail. •This policy is used for Data Integration Program notifications only. A separate policy identifies the profile to use for application notifications (see Administration > System Settings >Email).
Under what conditions do you want to be notified about processing of updates?
This policy allows you to identify under what processing condition you want to be notified from the Data Integration Function. Note: During testing of the Data Integration setup at your organization we recommend leaving the notification level at the default of 'Always'. However, once the processing has been established you could lower this to one of the other values. We recommend 'All runs with transactions.'
What E-Mail address (or addresses) should be notified with the results of the records processed? This policy allows you to identify the E-Mail addresses of the people to be notified. Enter the E-Mail addresses separated by a semi-colon.
